Bad Links?

    Hi,

    Can one-way bad links pointing to my site affect me.

    I have noticed my site on some bad spammy sites, I'm not linking to them, they are linking to me.

    Any clues?

    No, they cannot hurt you. And by the same token, they do not help you either.

    If it were that easy, I would create a bunch of Viagra and Casino sites and link the hell out of the competition. Wouldn't it be nice if it were just that simple?

    Yes it is my understanding also that bad links don't hurt you. But if you link out to those sites and ALL of your inward links are from them that is a different story.

    I actually wondered if someone was doing that to a few of my sites. I've seen some very strange backlinks showing up! :)
