Supporting McCain is far from being anti American. That one of the funniest quotes I have read thus far.

    It was staged.

A poll taken over a year ago, when tensions in Iraq were higher than they are today, showed that Iraqis approved of the current government by a 2 to 1 margin over the Saddam led government. This is pretty astonishing considering all the sectarian violence and a lack of some basic things like electricity that they have endured.

    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article1530526.ece

I also vaguely recall some polls after the invasion that showed Iraqis were happy about the removal of Saddam.

    It was not staged.
A group of Iraqi men attempted to pull down the statue of Saddam Hussein. The Iraqi men scaled the statue and secured a noose around the neck (foreshadowing ?) of the statue but were unable to pull it down. That is when we assisted helping with an armoured vehicle. Those citizens were real, not paid actors. You guys crack me up.

You should talk to the soldiers from England. Some of the bravest men I have ever met.

It was a media event, read the article.

It dosen't, because one, they only asked 5000 people, two, the poll was done by a british company and not a middle eastern one. How can the occupieing country poll the people they are slaughtering?

So a middle eastern company would be more objective or have better methods?

Umm. Because it's not the country doing the polling, it's a company that happens to be from the country?

Also, this was reported to be the biggest poll up to that time since the invasion. So do you have better data?

It's still not fair, it is like a company from nazi germany times saying the poles approve of the invasion. Would you still think it is fair then?

It's not anything at all like that. I don't believe the ORB is state run and even if it is it is not operating under the same constraints, obligations and fears that a business under Nazi Germany would have.
Are you really comparing the UK to Nazi Germany?

No, saying the fact you can't use that poll as an accurate representation of Iraqi views as #1, it only asked 5000 people, and #2 it is a british company.

So you are not wanting to use a poll as your method of judging their views. Then what are you using to know that they all hate us and liked Saddam?

You should visit Iraq and you will see what the Iraqi people think of the soldiers. You would be surprised. Travel there.

Hey, maybe after a few years or so when it's a stable western-friendly democracy that is fully capable of standing on its own we can have DP meet-up there. Would be a good place to learn about and experience middle eastern culture first hand.

That has nothing at all to do with what was said but once again its obvious you cannot have a mature or decent conversation.

If other people can learn something in 30 min, for McCain it would take 3 hours.....

I had a chance to read some of your posts. Your talk is as good as that of Bush. You proove yourself all the time.
Facts for you don't matter ..... exactly as they don't matter for this Bush admin.
