Hey guys. I just wanted to discuss with you a simple theory. As you all know, many of your websites have probably fallen off the charts lately. You used to be ranked on page one, but now your not anywhere to be found. Firstly, I want to give you this tool which allows you to check out your SERPs for specific keywords. Secondly, I have a website, www.ultimateperfectpushupreview.com. It has barely any back links and it's set specifically on talking about the perfect pushups. My site didn't change in rankings whatsoever compared to where it was in the rankings before and after Google changed it's algorithm. It's always been on either page one or page two of Google. The point - Content is King If Google finds your site the most useful site for that key term, you'll rank higher. Now, there is still a mystery. Let's say Google sees two sites as a pretty high importance for the key term, "Fat Loss." Without back links as an answer, how does Google determine who'll get the first spot? That's my question.
google threw a wrench in third party SERP checkers earlier this week and shoemoney doesn't seem to have updated their code.
Google never meant content is king like this. they meant the best content gets the most natural links to it and wins in the SERP that way. this tired old cliche is a bit past it now.
It's a total joke. My site is #1 fir a certain [two word] keyword in Yahoo and ranks first page in all other search engines...and it told me the keyword was not found in the search engines
haha yea, did a search of my link ranked in google and it came back no.15. in the software, it isn't found. weird
You might be on to something there ttomp13 - it is certainly as plausable a theory as I have heard so far any way.
Backlinks from other websites ... internal linking ... on-page optimization. These and other SEO techniques are for the purpose of getting surfers to your pages. And once they get there, what is it that you want them to read and be influenced by? Content! So yes, I would say that content is extremely important.
They have always placed importance on content all these while but lately they have taken that to another step ahead. They want to ensure that a site gets good ranking not just on one particular keyword but all related search terms as well.
I agree about content being king. Post some articles on ezines and get some great backlinks to your site. This will boost your ranking on the next dance surely.
Content is not King because, you could have great content and no one could link to your content, and it could be totally devalued by Search Engines. How can this be? Well simple, the search engines such as Google need to have your content be validated by News and blog sites. And if they link to your blog with the proper contextual links, than and only then will your site or blog get ranked in the top search results.
