Now this is "definitely" the last one I am buying Today.. maybe Thanks I thought about unleashing.me, but changed my mind. While I was in there, I checked to see if unleash.me was available, and Godaddy reported that it was I registered it, then I thought that I had better check the whois on it because it seemed strange that it would still be available, turns out it was already registered on the 17-Jul-2008, and as I found this information out, I received the expected "failed" email. The following domain name has failed to be registered: UNLEASH.ME Error: UNLEASH.ME: cannot register - already registered We will evaluate this error and retry the registration if appropriate. It may be to soon, or they may be waiting for all other auctions to end. (land rush and premium) I just had a look at the land rush auctions and there are only 29 domains left to be auctioned. insure.me ended up going for $68,005. Cheers James
No! Not that heart breaking error again! I received this error like 40 times the first day of the .me registration!
Yeah, strange how it is still happening after all this time. I had suspected it would be an error, thats why I checked the whois straight after I registered it. I got this last week as well, when I registered www.fto.me I received the "already registered" email, but I was able to change the name servers on the domain and when I checked the whois, it had gone through and was in my name. So that was a false negative so to speak. I also have a strange feeling that when Godaddy reimbursed me for the domains that I did not win in the land rush auctions, they may have reimbursed me for one or two that I did win. I will have to go through my receipts and check. If it looks like they did stuff up, I guess I will send them an email and see whats happened. Cheers James
Hm, why should .me have more success than .name? Strange, how strongly .me was / is marketed in America. The registry is certaily making a lot of money.
Then it's probably better for your sake that I don't continue adding .ME domain names that are still available I had the same problem yesterday. I also regged names trough godaddy, and received the same error mails But before adding the list of available domain names, I have checked them first with other registrars
I snapped up hoodwink.me and then another two as well - this is getting out of control! accountfor.me and account4.me - good domains for an accountant I think
