I just wanted to put this out as a warning to my fellow DPers. Have you noticed that IE 7 must be refreshed in order to get up to date stats on your Adsense Earnings? This is because it CACHES a HTTPS page. I just do not understand that. Even if you sign out and go back to the adsense report page all of your adsense data is there for whoever to view. Not a huge issue if you are on your home computer but could be a big problem if you are using a public or shared computer. At any rate I just wanted to let you all know as a PSA.
ahhh!! Start using Firefox, i dun even think of using IE7 ever. even if firefox fails sometime...i switch to Safari or opera. but never IE.
dude.... a bit noob lol. It is a setting. You have to change the settings so that it reloads images and webpages. The default I believe is storing and loading old data but it gives you the option to change this upon installation. This will happen for like all stat programs that display images... well... it actually happens to all images lol sept normal images don't 'update' themselves Turn it off and u wont have the problem again lol.
That's why I ne never use a public computer. You don't know what malware is on the computer to start with!
U high or sumthing lol? How does this have anything to do with malware :| It is just ie loading the saved images to save bandwidth. Normal internet users do not have dynamic images lol... This is a good function. And is extremely easy to turn off... I can name just as many faults with firefox as I can with IE now.
I'd never risk logging into anything with important details at a public computer anyway (paypal, adsense, adwords etc etc.)
I think you better disable the caching option in IE7. I am sure there must be a way to do that. I use FF, and for some other reasons, I have also disabled the caching option in FF.
I always use firefox. Not going to get into a debate about which is better because they are both pretty solid browsers. I like FF because MS has a large enough share of my life. I just had happened to use IE to check adsense because I had it open checking one of my new web pages. Obviously you can turn the caching feature off but I think it is seriously stupid to have a default setting that caches data on a HTTPS connection. This would apply to credit card accounts, bank accounts, etc. HTTP data I can understand, but not HTTPS.
I never use IE for any site which needs a login.. always feel like that IE is officially bundled with a keylogger and MS sell the data to the hackers for making some money.. lol.. well its not true, jst kidding ..... better use firefox when using any google account.
