A much better place if you ask me. Google in my opinion are just as bad as Microsoft now. Take cuil for instance. If they ever get big enough to threaten Google in the slightest, what will Google do? Buy them out!

Web searches would be dull and boring and one has to go through a list of unrelated web results that appear. I can't imagine what it would be like really....

I've often wondered how long Google will reign as king.
Sooner or later something else comes along that works better.

Or maybe Google will reign forever?

If you ask me it would be much cleaner.. Just look at how many BFAs and spammy sites are out there which are built for google! Not to mention google is responsible for comment spam, forum spam, etc. It's all a creation of the PageRank..

Although that would probably happen anyway..

I think without google, the internet sure will not be the same as it is now. Many people are making living with adsense, no google means no adsense.

Well, there was Internet before Google. The Internet born and growth without Google, those times were infoseek, altavista, so I don't know why can't be Internet after Google... nothing last forever....

Life without Google wouldn't be that bad, in fact worldwide it may be a blessing. Their increasing dominance on the web can become a threat to innovation.
