Some crazy impression, don't understand why

hi guys,

I've just started my blog like a month ago, i generally get around 100 or so impressions. But today i got a whooping 510 impressions so far. Can someone explain to me how does impression calculated again? It doesn't quite match my number of visitors....

Why don't you check your traffic? Cpanel? Analytics?

Ok, Analytics doesn't track in real time buddy, you need to cross check it with Awstats or Webalizer. Otherwise you need to wait some hours until Analytics get new data.

 

You can install Statcounter to track real-time stats or use awstats in your hosting account's cpanel.

 

Extra impressions probably came from a social bookmarking service such as
Digg or Stumbleupon.

 

that MIGHT explain....since i use both, more Digg though

If it came from Digg or StumbleUpon it should tell on your site statistics.

 

unless it came from (direct) / (none) otherwise i don't see any from digg or SU

 

Check your awstat and analyze the time where the impression had skyrocketed...
