Geotargeting in SEO

    If I would like to target my site in UK by SEO. How do I do that?

    Can anyone help?

    You can do that in Google webmaster tools, if you have an account.

    The following list helps (in order of importance):

    1. domain co.uk
    2. hosting on a server located in uk
    3. links from uk sites
    4. writing in english-uk, not english-us

    Try generating backlinks from UK Websites along with targeting backlinks with anchor text including "UK" in many of the keywords.

    If your targeted market is UK only than you should go with backlinks from UK sites. Set UK in google webmaster tool. Just find likes and dislikes of UK visitors and also their needs. Your products or services are perfect for their requirements or not. Etc....
