I am about to start writting an ebook and I wonder if you could recomend any ebook software. I hove done some reading about this subject on the net but I think that getting an opinion from people who do it professionally would be more valuable.

    Thank you very much.

Essentially, you're just trying to make a pdf, which can be done for free with open office or Google Docs.

    I use PrimoPDF.

Just write your ebook in Microsoft Word, then you can easily convert it to pdf using that software. It's free.

    Thank you, guys.

So basiclly you are saying that there is no need or any significant advantage in buying ebook software like E-book Gold or something similiar. I was thinking that it would make everything a little faster but probably you are right.

    Thanks once again.

I have used eBookCompiler for years. I like it because it has the capablity to create a reBrander along with the eBook you are creating. Just create html pages on you hardrive, this creates the ebook from that. You can also incorperate Javascript into the eBook, you have complete control on how it looks, and it has alot of features. And it is relitively inexpensive Download this eBook and take a look, I did it with eBookCompiler. .

    good luck.

Many of these ebook compilers only put out ebooks in exe format. That may have been ok a few years ago, but now there are too many people that have macs. It's best to just put your ebook into pdf format which is compatible with PC and MAC.

Plus if you put enough backlinks and affiliate links into your ebook, then it won't make any difference is someone decides to take it and give it away. Your links will pay off.

I made a pdf last night and I used the cutePDF thing, and it turned out good. All you do is write it in anything you want; word, html, toilet paper. And you just goto print, select cutePDF and it pumps out a PDF (no it doesn't actually print anything). I think it takes the print copy and just turns that into a PDF from that since they don't need a plugin for every single word processor.

Yes, but can you reBrand a PDF file easily? So your buyers can change the links to their own. I have noticed that most free ebook sites take PDF file and not exe.
