DP sig link deleting sigs on edit!!! 0_o

When you edit your sig link now all of your previous posts get edited... so if you had a sig link before and you deleted it from your signature.. instead of only future posts having the new sig link, the old posts are updated to have it as well... all previous posts with any sigs that have been deleted on the edit will no longer show up anywhere on DP in any previous post... seems lame? Not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing... ^_^

    It's a good thing.

You can change your sig, and automatically get a crap load of backlinks (from all your old posts) to the stupid new stuff in your updated sig :)

Don't fight it. Embrace it :D

Its good. If I sold a website and now have a new one, I'll want the 12,000 backlinks to go to my new site :D

Not automatically, the posts have to be crawled first.

How long does it take for google to crawl and index your website? Do they crawl old pages?

The edit function is amazing. It compares to the first time I used an eraser on a pencil.

last month I was checking the sigs on old posts and comparing them to new ones with an edited sig... they were different and were keeping their old sigs that I deleted... and now they're all updated whenever I update the sig in the CP.. ^_^ maybe this is only a new function for my account! :D

Not anything new... vBulletin has always been like that. It's really not a big deal, just a normal feature. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo!

You mean DP? Google never leaves DP, and crawls my sig links within 2 days usually.
