Why NOBODY will not Kill Google, Microsoft & Yahoo... Unless They Kill Eachother

    OK here's the deal.

People have been sayin junk things about google and that some "Cuil" is gonna kill it. They claim to have indexed 3 times more pages than google. So what? They just started. They don't have any change against that leaders in all this years. Let's say they kill google. Cuil is only competing at the search field. But google has a GIANT, HUGE network of other business solutions. They own - Youtube, the most visited video webzsite on the net. They own blogger - the 12th most visited site on the et accordin to alexa. They own gmail, google earth, google video and youtube, blogger, gtalk, adsense, adwords...

comparing to this... would Cuil have ANY chance of even competing with google? No way. but... here comes Microsoft and YAhoo! now those guys have a chance here. Microsoft is the leading software company in the world. Almostevery single of you is using their operative system Windows. Windows media player, dirext, Windows, notepad, movie maker, paint, msn, hotmail and owning tons of other software with 4 sites in the first 15 most visited!

I won't be talking about YAhoo.

I think that they can only compete eachother as other engines like Cuil won't have a chance :p

I have said part of what your saying several times to other people. Google has such a huge market share. People know them and the chance Cuil will create something just as good - is unlikely. The big different is that Cuil has more pages indexed, that doesn't mean anything. A lot of the people who use Google, don't normally search thousands of pages, why would they do that with Cuil.

'why nobody will not kill google' isn't that a double negative?

I don't think you've made any points clear with your post. It just reads like a mad rant.

Agree'd... This is like saying (for example) if i wasted sayy 10 years of my life and just made hundreds of thousands of pointless shitty pages on a website and they all got index'd, that I'd be able to take down google. Which is not very probable at all... It has nothing to do with the companies strength.

We aren't dumb, it's just that you could have taken the time to write a proper title. English isn't my first language (either?) but it's very obvious that your title doesn't make much sense. You've written: NOBODY will NOT, and that's a duplicate denial (no idea if that's the correct english term, like I said.. English isn't my first language)

And come on, we've seen the 'Who will kill Google' thread at least a hundered times.

^ Nobody will. That's my freakin point. we need to stop this killer threads and talk about something else. the search field is so big.... we can discuss many other things :)

mine either. My language is totally different (no same words at all) and I believe I know well for 13 years of life anyway

    Totally agree BooZzz.

Knowing that the author is only 13 kinda makes things clearer. I used to rant about nothing when I was 13 and believe that I was making intelligent conversation too ;)

This has been discussed WAY too many times but here's my input: Yes, you're right there's no competitor for Google yet but there will be. The governments of the world will, sooner or later, say that Google are monopolizing the internet search and advertising realm. They will probably get broken up into smaller parts.

so what if cuil beats google in search popularity? cuil wont just sit there doing nothing, they will start making their own ad sence and all that other crap and eventually (it will take a few years though) they could well kill google by them selves

Google won't go away but it could become eclipsed by cuil or another search engine.

Microsoft can't beat Google, they aren't innovative enough. Really, they only innovated with Ajax. Their web technologies come and go like the waves of the ocean. I mean ASP, JScript, VBScript, C#. Meanwhile Java has been around longer than all of those and is still the #1 used solution by large enterprises. Microsoft's problem is that they've always just tried to protect their market share instead of innovating.

If another search engine give the user a better experience, then people will use it. Search is the most important Google application.

blah blah blah. Since when being huge mean you were always going to on top? Im sick of all the newbies here saying google is the greatest, google will always rule blah blah blah.

Take a look at Ford. They were first to mass market cars. Now their being eaten alive by imports and competition. Look at AOL. They'd be extinct only they were bought up and amalgamated. Before Google came along, Yahoo / Microsoft was King. Did size prevent a new service from grabbing the majority of the search engine market from them?

Sure, Google has a huge market advantage. But nothing lasts forever. And its only a matter of time before someone comes up with something better. Does that mean the end of google? Nope - not by a long shot. As the OP pointed out, google has gmail, google earth, youtube and a whole host of other applications up and running. But its completely naive to think that Google will always be king of search.

The huge profits made by Google is like a red rag to venture capitalists and entrepeneurs. Give it time and you'll see serious competition emerge.

I dont think anyone will ever take the big 3 done.

Hard to compare to say cars, clothes etc. We may be all search engines, but the average joe just wants to find their porn and go about their merry way, and if google/yahoo/msn does that for them they will feel no read need to switch.

Plus, like alreayd mentioned, the big 3 are so much more than search engines.

its all about the data each has about you, and everyone esle ..the more info about you, the more it worths
in near future i think aol +yahoo ..just to fuck up microsoft ..
but the no.1 will be the one who will make it easier for you to search from your mobile, anywhere on about anything, and give you direct info without the spam and scam and n't nessescary info's, but major merge in near future no.. until someone comes with new algorithm (which i believe microsoft is doing now after the yahoo buying bubble).
