Is there a free program I can use to find what keywords I am ranking well on? I know what keywords are good for Yahoo as I have a few on page 1, but not for google or MSN.

For some reason, I get a few hits every day according to my awstats from MSN search. I want to know what keywords the people are searching to get to my site from MSN.

In other words, awstats gives you a list of keywords people searched to get to your site but doesn't tell you what search engine was used. How can I find that out?

    thx

For better statistics use Google Analytics. It gives you the greatest overview and is not difficult to set up.
(You can see the different keywords for the different SE's as well)

And then use Google Webmaster Tools to see your rankings and more.

You're right, Sue, that Google Analytics is a great tool to use.

hmm, I always thought Google Analytics would only cater to Google, not other SE's. Thanks for the help.

Try some trackers like histats... you'll get info on "what keywords people are typing to visit your site",etc.

Yes, use Google Webmaster or Google Analytic tool. I am using it.

You can also get some very good quality tools online for getting such reports.

IMO IBP is very helpful and good tool.

Just use Rank checker plugin for firefox. It show results for all the keywords + sites you want, in major SE.

    There you go...

    EDIT:

What you really need is to ad Google Analytics code to every page of your sites. From it you can check everything you want. And i mean, everything... even stuff you didn't believed it was available.
