Wrong - His biggest mistake was to pass a faulty reference on the chief justice in order to get his actions approved by the Supreme court of Pakistan. That move backfired when the lawyers, members of the civil society gathered on the streets to protest. Then his biggest mistake was to hand over innocent pakistani citizens to Guantanamo. Lal masjid incident was not a big one as you keep moaning about. People in Pakistan were not behind the extremists.

I don't know which Pakistan you live in, but you must know that corruption cases are on nearly every politician in the country - let alone the politicians of the elected government.
MQM is a major terrorist organization having numerous criminal cases but still no pro musharraf used to cry over mqm being a part of the government and supporting musharraf etc

I am glad to hear this. Musharraf was just a military rule, as he was not a politician he could not manage properly & made pak. economy ( + many other things) worst ever than ever.

I'm sure corruption is common in politicians all around the world but are they involved in kidnapping, extortion, harrasment, abuse of power, rape and murders too?

MQM falls in the 99.99% including other pro musharaf parties. 0.01% are the independant members of parliment.

Well we have already tested twice and thrice the two major parties in power at the moment and they are CRAP. God knows when Pakistani people will learn not to elect scumbags over and over again.

doesnt sound good...although the elections might have been sponsored by a emmm, we all know who. However, if two major parties in power dont look good, thats very bad.

Thats not bad. What bad is I'm (other locals might agree) willing to take risk/chances on Talibans than these politicians. Atleast we are sure about them that they wont take bribes or stuff their own bank accounts.

Yes they won't take bribe or stuff their bank accounts. But they'll push your country some 300 years back by bringing in inhuman rules and regulations.

Tilak, the idea of pooling money together for distribution is inherently flawed. It punishes people who work very hard to earn more, and rewards bums who won't. That is socialism. It discourages people to put 100% efforts into their work, coz they know they'll have to pay higher taxes if they earn more, and others who choose not to work will get a government handout.

You're right. The basic premise of socialism is absolutely rubbish. I wonder how these socialists manage to convince such a large chunk of people with their inherently flawed theory???

Which inhuman rules and regulations you talking about? Please don't give example of Afghanistan, they got controlled of it after more than 25 years of war. It has very limited civil services structure. Still they managed to wiped out opium production from their controlled areas. If thats inhuman I'm down with that. By the way in 2003 after US invasion Afghanistan holds 75% share of opium production in the world.
