    Hello Everybody,
One of my sites had lost PR yesterday. PR5 became PR3.
Will google punish in PR for using payperpost?

I bought a PR5 domain nine months ago. It is having 2 PR6, one PR7 and a large no. of low PR backlinks. I posted articles related to technology, cars and computer in my site. They all are unique articles. I didn't used adsense in this site. I used this site for SEO purposes for other different my own sites.

One month ago I added this site in payperpost. I got many good opportunities from there. I posted at least 2 non-sponsored posts on the top and bottom of every posts from payperpost. I didn't used any data related to payperpost in my site. I didn't taken the post 'I signed up for PPP' from ppp. I used only a code from ppp which is required for their approval.

Also I posted many blogposts (with links) in my site for promoting different sites. I put links to different my own sites from it (blogroll links) for promoting them.

My site maintained its PR 5 in the last 2 PR updates. Before the last PR update, I bought some PR5 and PR 4 links for it. I hopped that it would become PR6 in the last update. Its PR did't changed in the last update which was about 2 or three weeks ago. But....

My PR dropped on yesterday. There was no PR updates???
    But it happened on yesterday.

Is it due to the use of payperpost?
    or...
The High PR backlinks to this site are still there.

My site have a large no. of outgoing links. There are 26 links in Blogroll and large no. of links from different posts. No posts contains more than 3 links. All are unique posts.

Is the PR drop due to the use of payperpost?
Is there any way for getting back its PR?

from PR5 to PR3 is a huge drop for me.

Google just adjusted PR for sites that have been caught selling links. Google is known to lower PR for sites using payperpost and selling links. You can remove all unnatural links and paid reviews and then use the webmaster reconsideration request form.

If you're not going to be selling links, then why do you care about getting your PR back? It isn't going to help you rank any better.

That is due to payperpost or link sales...
maybe your sites are safe as you are not indulged in such activities

Google caught up with your tactic and corrected you PR.
They are getting better at finding paid links and link exchanges.

As far as I know there's no change at all from Google to update any PR.

R U sure your PR was 5 the day before...

PR is not a one time work...it changes continuously and we see the effect after roughly 3 months becoz it takes that much time to update all the data servers..
On the other hand if Google finds you indulged in prohibited activities then it can punish you and thats exactly what I think has happened

will google consider all the posts having links as paid posts?

I had posted many reviews other sites in it (some were paid reviews). All these are normal posts but having links.

these and payperpost were the 'prohibited activities' done by me

Add "nofollow" to the posts you made about your own sites and you should be ok. If those sites have the same whois, are hosted on the same class "c" IP, or run the same adsense code, you probably aren't getting any benefit (besides traffic) from the links anyway.

I didn't realize that google adjusts their page rank for sites that they catch selling links  I thought
this only happened when there was a major page rank update?

is there proof of this??? would google be so lame as to use adsense code against you? if it was true, black hats should start to try putting up a competitors adsense code on some bad spam sites and break all kinds of tos and then link to the competitors site and see if it will hurt the competitor, that would be an experiment some blackhats might try

Google is playing games. Your site might have been penalized for link sales.

Pay Per Post can get your site banned if you use it too much.

gocompare.com was a famous one that got banned for using this method too much.

I posted 9 reviews about my own 3 sites in it which contain my adsense code. Also I given links to them.
Also I posted 26 posts for payperpost. Many other reviews (paid and non paid) were there: about 40. They all are normal posts, but contain links. Also many link less posts were there.

Will google consider all linked posts as paid reviews?
