From my observations with the rank on my Google toolbar most sites are 0-4 on pagerank, you have to really earn trust with Google before you can get a ranking of above 4.

Absolute rubbish, if you have eyes... well you shouldn't. There is websites cropping up onto the first page that have PR2 and on the first page there is sites at PR10. Yes, Google used to use PR as a way to rank your site on Google, but not now. It is just a mere way to value and market you site, to price link sales, blog posts etc.

    GO read a SEO book.

That there is your opinion. Some people dont care for Pr others do. Show me proof that they don't use Pr to rank sites?

Actually, the poster is correct in that the majority of blogs listed on "Do Follow" search engines are pretty low PR. I've tested them, myself. Not only that, but many of them have the "NoFollow" tag attached, too. If you are going to use such services, you will want to test them yourself.

Okay lets type "webmaster forum" into Google. Now by your technique that the higher your PR the higher you rank on Google.

    Using Firefox
    1. www.webmaster-forums.net/ - PR5
    2. www.webmasterforums.com/ - PR3
    3. www.webmaster-talk.com/ - PR3
    4. www.forums.digitalpoint.com/ - PR7

    Using Safari
    1. www.forums.digitalpoint.com/ - PR7
    2. www.webmasterforums.com/ - PR3
    3. www.webmaster-talk.com/ - PR3
    4. www.webmaster-forums.net/ - PR5

Now if your theory is right, they should be in order of highest PR. Guess what they aren't. Notice that SitePoint has a PR7 means it should be sitting up beside Digital Point, hmm where is it..?
