Joomla and relative links

    Hi,

I have a problem with my cart as I described in another email, now I think I fixed it, the only problem is that all Joomla paths are relative, so when I'm using secure certficiate connection and I try to access menu it gives me 404.

If I could change the rule about how Joomla treats menu links ( make them all absolute path, not relative) then it would fix my problem almost completely.

Does anyone know which file handles generating the menu? I only found "genMenu" in the index.php :/

    Thanks in advance,

EDIT: Bleh, this post is already on google, I just found it googleing for my problem and still no help :<

if the menu links are set to /index.php? etc you should have no problem.

Are you using SEF links in the menus or proper joomla links - can I see the site? might help track down the problem.

Thanks mate, edited ja_villadi - works really nice and looks just fine, even tho I wish they made a slideshow that when you click the item it can link to a random url (i.e. a shop item or an article), I'm too lazy to research lol.

What do you mean by "tracking down" ? Have a look at the source code?

when i use https: //audiotrak.co.uk/ I get a 403 and 404. Something is wrong deep in your config if I am unable to even get to the root of your site on https

Sorry for staying off this topic but I couldn't access forums (too busy)

    I don't use https ://a udiotrak. co.uk , I have a shared SSL which is something like web44.secureserver.blabla/audiotrak.co.uk

But now it's all fixed, more or less. I mean the whole shop works, but still while you're in the checkout process and you click outside of the checkout screen, you get a 404...

Well, at least I handled the "secure and non secure items" warning on IE ;-)

Let me know if you have any ideas mate.
