    Well,

I am writing Meta Tags (Title, Description,Keywords) for some websites.

Can you tell me how many keywords should I use in Title and description for better ranking ?

How long Title and Description should be ? Title should be phrase or just specific keyword ?

Also how many keywords are better to use in keywords tag ?

Keywords should be separated by commas (,) or (/). Because I have noticed some websites contains / instead of commas in keywords.

I will appreciate any suggestion from you on the basis of your experience.

    Thanks
    Regards

Tittle and Description Meta Tags have contain no more than 60 and 200 symbols respectively. Be careful when creating KeyWords meta tag! Each keyword included in this tag has to be presented in the webpage text as well. Also, each separated word doesn’t have to be repeated in these tag more than two times. Otherwise, this can be considered by search engines as spam.

You can use upto 25 keywords in keyword tag.
    In title : 66 characters
    In desc: 158 characters
You can use comma or pipeline as separator.

Seriously it's better to target a just a few keywords or even just one keyword phrase per webpage. If you find yourself trying to add a bunch of keywords that the page doesn't even have then you probably need to make multiple web pages.

Your page will usually do much better in search rankings if you target one keyword phrase per page.

There is a consensus that 10 would be more than enough, i agree with fisherman65 that keeping it more focused is best.

I would use only one or two phrases at the most per page with out duplication.

As for the META keyword, non of the major SEs use this.

The META description is not important anylonger but should be writen for the user.

Hint, Hint... the title tag is NOT a meta element.... ;)

Title tags = Should be a quick short descriptional title of your web pages content
Meta Description = A short summary of the content found on that specific web page
Meta Keywords = Useless and not used by search engines anymore.
