IMO, super domains. I've tried creating test sites for my username (just to test Google's algorithms) and sites with high trust/authority dominate them. My user profiles on trusted/authority sites have zero backlinks (probably) and they beat out sites with backlinks.
MSN on the other hand is easy to game, but nobody searches on it.

I don't know what makes a domain better, but my guess would be:
Lots of high-quality links going to the domain (from other authority sites, and from relevant sites)
Age of the domain might be a factor??

So right now, it seems that things seem to lean towards sticking everything onto a super domain. Which is why Wikipedia dominates even for pages with 0 backlinks.

2- What the blackhats are doing is hijacking legit domains (search for buy viagra) and sticking their doorway page on those sites.

All of those options are pretty old news, forum posting is as old as forums, and people have been blogging for the best part of 5 years. Nothing new there.

IMO there is neve r really anything 'new' in SEO, the forumula for good rankings hasn't changed in years, what worked 10 years ago pretty much works now. Good readable content, aged domains, a great link profile and you can almost guarantee traffic and rankings.

'New' things that come along are just different ways of doing what people did before. Blogging is just an accessable content management system where people were using something like Joomla before.
Social networking is just leveraging the userbase of large sites like Digg where people may have advertised on busy sites or joined something like a toplist before.

None of those options, the things listed are all so over used for the past year or two that none of them yield good results, the truly great methods are the ones which are typically not discussed in public ;)

The survey options are all just different flavors of the same thing which is geting backlinks to your site.

I agree with MattUK in that there will be nothing new in the future at least conceptually.

SEO for a website uses the same formula people use to become popular. To be a popular person you need 1) to be an interesting human being 2) know a lot of people and/or 3) know some other popular people.

In SEO you need 1) interesting content 2) have a lot of sites linking to you and/or 3) have some high pagerank sites or authority sites linking to you.

If the above is true, then you must first find the next new thing for becoming popular as a person and that has never changed.
