My blogs don't have a problem getting indexed. New posts on my blogs get indexed in Google within half an hour due to autopinging. I want the same for all 4 of my forums. Any suggestions?
If you have a popular forum like this one with so many new threads, google will index it almost instantly.
Sign up with Google Webmaster Tools. You can specify there how often you want the google spider to visit your site.
Definitely, you cannot always increase the indexing speed but if you can I would definitely recomment it!

If the forum is becoming naturally popular links will come and so will the spiders, with time Google will speed up their indexing.
True. the only advantage blogs have over forums to me is that the blogs are indexed fast right out of the gate. I guess I just need IBL's from sites that are indexed every few minutes. Any comments on that?
It has nothing to do with any tool... It's site popularity... If the site is popular, it will be indexed in less than an hour...I have mine an average of a to 2 hours whenever I have new blog post.
Google webmaster tool will not help you more to increase the speed of crawling. For this, you must have back links. Search the blogs or websites added the list of forums and send them email for back links. Some of them will definitely links your forum.
