The best way to learn is just go out there and try to do it. Trial and error is not a bad way to learn. That is how I figured out some web design, graphics design, video editing and now affiliate marketing. At first I was over thinking. I reading about affiliate marketing and was unsure whether or not it will work. Than I just decided not to over think but rather just go there, try to promote some offers, and see what happens. Generally you should strat off with offers in niches you at least have knowledge of. You may or may not that much money the first time you try, but the experience itself is valuable.
PPC-Coach is BY FAR the best site to learn affiliate marketing & ppc. There are guys on there making in the 10s of thousands per month after only a few months.
You are absolutely right. But I found the guides at moreniche well worth reading and I think they are a great place for a beginner to start. Since the signup is free, I agree with the poster above that they should be checked out.
