Actually I think one honest question you should be asking is how old the owner is. There are lots of kids now a days that are trying to run a hosting business but in all reality if you end up with one of them and something goes wrong and or they loose all of your files or what not then they can not be held responsible. I would honestly say stick with an honest company with actual employees and that is actually legitimately registered.

Yes, that is a really good point. I just learned of one hosting company that is owned by a teenager. On one hand i am impressed. And on the other hand I am terrified. I keep asking myself questions like; Who handles tech support during school hours? What happens when the owner's interests turn toward something with better legs than a web server? I just have a hard time believing that someone with no responsibilities (i.e. a mortgage, car payment and family to feed) is going to have the commitment to success that I am looking for.
