What to look for in a quality paid directory

Hi Can anyone tell me what to look for when submitting

How can I tell how long the site has been a directory

Has the PR been faked or recently paid for website with existing PR

What else do i need to know and how do I check

what to look for when u want a paid subscription ??

1. pagerank of the main site doesn't really matter, ur listing will never be on the index page of the directory, maybe if u can choose the listing page has some pagerank it would be ok
2. look how does the directory stand in the search engines, how many of its pages are indexed and how often it gets indexed
3. reasonnable price/lifetime, monthly subscription are waste of money

it's is a good question, never paid for fake pr or dropped domains "directories".
