Hey have just started article marketing and have been thinking what works best with ezine wrt to Landing Page . That is should we have a linkback to a squidoo/hub page/weeble or buy a new domain . I know a squidoo would have a better PR but is it valid even for a new lens .Also your own domain would be more uncluttered . What does your experience say ?
In short. 1. Get a domain 2. Create your landing page there with a product review 3. Submit articles to Ezine - direct traffic to your LP 4. Create lens on Squidoo - direct traffic to your LP 5. Create hub on Hubpages - direct traffic to your LP Do the same for all other Web 2.0 sites and send readers to your landing pages. Then you can also bookmark all your articles/lenses/hubs using SocialMarker (www.socialmarker.com) Don't forget to track everything, at least with Clickbank Tracking.
Thanks for the info bl4ckman .But don't you feel for a low competitive keyword a linkback to a squidoo page from a ezine be more effective .Specially since both will have some pr .What is the need to have your own LP .You could just use one of the squidoo lenses as the center and repeat the above procedure .What you think ??
Yeah, you can use Squidoo as a landing page as well. That would be ok. I just suggest using your own landing pages, because I don't like to fully rely on those web 2.0 sites....Imagine what would happen if Squidoo ban affiliate products promotions in the lenses?
Why hell would you want to link back to squidoo? Build up your own site. And don't get me started about "PR". Squidoo is a spam trap and it will be slapped or cracking down. It's inevitable.
I did a test and found out squidoo getting ranked much quickly for the targetted keywords than our own LP , instead of squidoo it could be hubpages or weebly
They're fads though. Google is in the business of providing the best results. If you can easily put up a page on squidoo or hubpages or whatever the next thing is, than it'll eventually get slapped. It's not an IF, it's a fact. When people start polluting the search engine results, they get flying karate chopped by Google. It's the business. Get yourself a domain name and hosting, build up your own site that isn't going to get slapped by Google because spammers can take 5 minutes to put up a lens and do some social bookmarking and make it to the front page of Google.
squidoo pages are good for testing things out. But if you're serious about promoting in a certain niche, then get your own domain. That way you're building up links to somehting you own, you have full control of it, and at the end you have an asset.

Actually when you are testing aff offers you want to see some traffic ASAP and that's where these free hosting sites offer some advantage with inherit links
Buy a niche related domain. Then a blog would be perfect with all the product details. Submit articles with the domain name. Start Squidoo, Hub pages etc. and promote the blog to make sales $$
