If you look at the cb-analytics for centemax and water4gas, there is a large, undeniable downtrend. So is it due to: Adwords Ban Lower oil/gas prices Consumers wising up
I think you pretty much have it covered. I think it was only a matter of time before it started coming back down to earth. Of course they're probably still making a lot of money right now - just not as much as they were before.
I think it will keep coming back every decade or two, I wonder if this run is over with, or if it will pick back up as soon as gas prices go over $4 again?
Adwords ban certainly affected the gravity, but not that much......For some reason it keeps going down rapidly.
There is just WAY less demand. There have been less searches for keywords like "run your car on water" and there is a lot of bad press on these products. I've made over $50,000 in this market over the couple of months but it's gone down a lot later due to less searches and less traffic. And of course, there is also tons more competition. May, June and half way into July were really the golden months for this niche. Just take a look on google trends.
It's also the product life cycle. They've all lost their "wow" factor which means that the majority of people who were going to buy the book already have done. Now it's just the slow-coaches and less frequent Internet users. It's not like a diet or another piece of long-term information because people see it, think "wow, this might actually work", buy it and then find out. With FL4I, millions of people every single year are looking to lose weight so they will always want information that tells them how to lose 11lbs in 7 days or whatver it is...
When is the money made in a shooting start to falling rock product? Can you only clean up at the beginning, before everybody and their brother is promoting it, or can a good affiliate ride the wave all the way up and back down?
I'm still getting sales from these products, not as much as I used to, but if you promote it right, you can still generate sales. I think that these products are gonna continue falling in gravity, and I think they're gonna settle at a stable 150-200 gravity (talking about the top two, centemax and water4gas), and also, when another significant increase in gas prices occurs, these products might jump up in gravity
I think those three points were the main ones, also though theres more competition, as an example I moved to a smaller product with low grav because I prefer his sales page, but I think you covered the majority of it.
I think that's only true for Adwords. In another form of affiliate marketing, it actually pays to be in competition with others because you can easily add value onto the back of a lot of buzz being generated by the many people promoting it. My point was that they came into the market and people, me included, were all like "wow, what's this new HHO gas stuff". It was all cool because it was like magic that water could burn. Now, people have got over that initial "wow" factor and are not buying the product any more simply because it doesn't interest them. This is also down to lower gas prices (although they are still stupidly high) which of course lowers demand.
The buzz has died down I'm sure many will re-brand a re-launch with extra bonuses etc. Its a typical product life cycle.
Adwords, falling gas prices, suckers have all bought them already, and people don't have the money to blow on this stuff anymore
If the crude oil prices are back to $100 per barrel, then there is no need to buy water4Gas products.
Hi, I'm sure this isn't helping either - this site is at P5 in google SERPS for "run your car on water" : www_dot_aardvark.co.nz/hho.shtml (replace _dot_ with . obviously...) Probably time to pack the snake oil bottles back into the carpet-bag and move on... Zander
The run your car on water niche doesn't seem to be dieing down for me. Today a new affiliate decided to give Super Water Car Secret a shot and already made 5 sales on his first day - with an average of 22.2 hops per sale! Check it out: because so many people seem to think this niche is dead, the smart affiliates are really able to cash in now because competition has reduced a lot. People are still advertising on Google and making a killing like before. Yahoo and MSN gets decent traffic too, so you can make heaps of sales there too! The reason I'm posting this is to tell you guys not to give up on this niche, otherwise you're simply leaving money on the table... PS: If you wanna see what product he's promoting to achieve 22 hops per sale, it's this: http://www.superwatercarsecret.com
