Hi, I am promoting a World of Warcraft guide at the moment and I have a question. Since the guide is available immediately after download - this marks it as a red flag for possible fraudsters paying with stolen funds. If a fraudster were to buy this, and then I received my share of the commission in my ClickBank account - and then the payment was reversed - what happens to me? Am I penalized for this in any way? I couldn't find any information regarding this in Clickbank's FAQ so I am asking here. Regards!
Well, you are not "penalized". Publisher, Affiliate and Clickbank all must give back whatever money they received... Refund or Chargeback... just a part of the game.
Not Exactly, apart from obviously returning the money like a normal refund, clickbank charge an additional fee as well for chargebacks ($18 + Possible Fee of $35). This is another reason why easy product refunds on clickbank are "good", since it minimize chargebacks greatly. -Refund = Give the Money Back -Chargeback = Give the Money Back + Fee of $18 + Possible Fee of $35 The below is directly from clickbank.com: A purchase is revoked if the customer's bank later claims the purchase was unfunded or fraudulent. Revoked sales cost us money and harm our reputation as a reliable product retailer. In these instances we charge the publisher $18 per credit card chargeback. We will charge an additional $35 penalty per credit card chargeback if the publisher's products generate in excess of 1% chargebacks in any 90-day period. ClickBank reserves the right to delist any product or group of products at any time.
Like web said, chargebacks cost more than the original charge. I'm not sure why someone would chargeback when they can have a no questions asked refund.
Probably just because they dont know of the refund or think that the product owner would just ignore their request (or start asking questions). Also some people are used to ask their bank for a chargeback so they would rather do that instead of asking for a refund(if they never did it before)
If the customer wants a refund, then they'll get it and you'll lose your commission that you earned from that specific sales.
Really? How Knolegable! Let me guess, you are Einstein Undercover? "Im wondering..do some people read other peple comments before commenting...ehh contributing?"lol
Its good to contribute but its better to first read what the topic is about and what the original question is before
I am not sure, if this is the right place to ask....I just didn't want to create a new thread for this short question. I recently had a problem getting different commissions for the same product. For example, let's take a product that pays $16 for affiliates. So I had one sale, which was $13, and another one which was $9.....What's that? Product was bought by different people, and I believe there is no upsell. It's not recurring either.
