    Hi

I am really frustrated with my one website as its about 2 years old domain with simple static site, even in every PR update i got or lost PR many times (now recent PR is 3). but its big big problem for me that my site is not coming on any rank for google, yahoo & msn even i try to target minimum competition keywords but all efforts are useless.

Now i decided to redesign my website, but before going to redeign my website i want few suggestions from you!

Ok, hehe. Google, Yahoo and MSN? Find a few blogs Yahoo that rank high in your target market and post with your link. Do the same in MSN. Give them what they want.

Its quite possible that the market is saturated enough that you cannot rank well. Do you show up at all on the top 10 pages of thes SE's?

Do you mean your site's ranking in the serps or pagerank? Either way, the answer to both is you need more links pointing to your website.

sounds like you are targeting keywords that have very aggressive marketis, like web development (in your signiture). Try using allintitle:keyword to identify how agressive a keyword is. This will show you how many web pages in a keyword index have the keyword in the title tab.

    allintitle:seattle web design (example)

Articles, forum posts, blog posts, digg.com, etc.

One of my sites (click my signature) has a lowly PR2 but highly ranked for "cheap ebooks", "cheap computer software" and "digital products" (very highly competitive keywords) and getting good earning.

I think you need to do more linkbuilding after targeting keyword of moderate competition. You can do social bookmarking, blog commenting, link exchange etc to get more links to your site.

Software development, database development, software programming?

Since you are not going to develop and program for everything under the sky, I suggest go for long tail keywords.

    HI,

Try to write good articles and post in different articles directory. and get back links from there. Surely PR will increase.

    Thanks
