DP Policies...2 Accounts from 1 IP allowed?

    I have my DP account. My husband now wants one as well. Is it allowed?
    We use Hughesnet as our ISP, it's satellite connection. He has his own computer and I have mine, but can can he sign up with his own ID with no risk of IP's being the same or being banned from DP?

    You need to inform about this to any mod here if you and your husband both having DP account and using from same ip. Also there are some rules you both needs to strickly follow for that.

    Why dont just use the same account?

    Inform a mod and they should answer this for you.

    No,You can't ..You will get banned if use 2 Accounts from 1 IP..
    digital point only allows 1 account per IP

    DP allow 2 accounts from 1 IP. But members should inform mods first regarding this. Beside that, this 2 members can't make any trading between each other in DP like exchanging iTrader.

    hmm.. i just wonder.. how about in the office? if some of your officemates are also members of DP forum and the office has only one ip?

    Last I checked, just inform one of the mods and explain your situation. Especially since its two different people.

    There is many known people here that use same IP one guy is over at BST selling FaceBook Apps and they are a crew that use one IP, some are even banned :eek:

    I think it's going to be a problem from what I can remember vBulletin finds double accounts by looking at ip addresses.
    I do think it would be very unfair if your husband couldn't join just because you had an account here first. Sharing an account is a ridiculous thing to ask, it would even sneakier than the same person using multiple accounts.
    Hopefully a mod will help you out or post here, I'm kind of curious to know what to do in a situation like that as well. :)

    That's not a problem. Just let us know your husband's username. You may not exchange iTrader/rep, bump each other's threads and so on.
