Hi, I currently use Serif web design software and now want to upgrade to somethong better. I have been looking at macromedia products and am mezmorized by all the choice. What is the basic macromedia web design software? Is it dreamweaver? Thanks
Good question, this one hasn't come up in a while http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=983870 There are TONS of other threads on this exact topic, search for them! And no, you don't need to get dreamweaver, it sucks.
Dreamweaver is better then Serif Web Plus, but I would recommend using intype, and manually coding it. I use page plus to design logos, then export them as pictures. You might be able to do the same with web plus.
if you program php, asp, jsp it is better use dreamweaver but if you use html it is better use frontpage(expression web)
i recommend u macromedia dreamweaver... its great software... u can build great site with it... if u want build simple web,, beter use microsoft frontpage.... it is very easy to use...
like said before again and again. dreamweaver and photoshop. thats all u need to make the perfect site.
And like I've said again and again - use Dreamweaver and Photoshop to make a crappy site that is terrible code (tables/CSS positioned) and massive in size with far too many images and freaked out javascript effects that were a horrible idea when HTML first started, and are not even remotely acceptable today. But hey, use it if you want. The more people who use it, the more people ask for help, and the more money I get.
Dreamweaver is the professional web designer's choice.. Make your stuff in design mode or go straight to editing the HTML code, it's your choice and Dreamweaver makes it easy. I use PaintShopPro as my picture editer but I'm sure Photoshop does a better idea but I'm not too fussed.
