Hello, I just bought a website about a month ago. It does paid posting for forums. The previous owner said that the site was getting 350 unique visitors per month. The website is a valid PR 2 and is the top result in a Google search for "paid forum boosting." I need to figure out how to get more visitors. I've submitted the site to a couple of directories but I'm fairly inexperienced with website SEO. Some suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

Make some youtube videos promoting it. Then submit each video 5 social bookmarking sites each with different keywords you want to rank well for in Google. That should help quite a bit.
Write or modify an article and submit it to ezinearticles and goarticles. You should be getting hits no matter how well you rank on google.
Thanks for the suggestions. I've submitted the site to a bunch of directories and social bookmarking sites. I bought 5,000 visitors from Quality Traffic Supply but that was the worst $30 I've ever spent! I'm planning on starting a PPC campaign. Should I go with Google or are they too expensive?
Alright, probably the best way to get free targeted visitors with minimal effort is posting on DP. People here often ask for forum posting/population services - just refer them to your website. It's called forum marketing - that's a link to a more in depth article I wrote on it.

you should go for Article Marketing, Social bookmarking & traffic exchange sites giving 1:1 or better exchange ratio it will help you a lot.
ppc is a fast way to get traffic but if you dont know what your doing it can be dangerous. try writing articles and link to your site. give back to forums with what you know and put your website in your sig.
PPC can be expensive depending on how many people are bidding on your keywords. Do you have time to promote the site yourself? If you do have time to put in I'll list a ton of free ways to drive traffic to your site.
P.S. Don't waste your time or money buying 'quality targeted traffic', their just false visitors, trust me I used to own a traffic selling website and washed my hands of it straight away.

Hi, It seems since your site is very specialised, you'll at least need to get highly targeted traffic. I would suggest advertising your site in Forums that allow such activity. Since there are lots of marketers who hang around in forums, I don't think you'll go too far. Start here and then flick over to the (WF) and I hope that I have not just commited forum suicide by mentioning the WF. Hope that helps, Good luck
