php pdflib

    hi ,
    i want to use pdflib for pdf creation and getting an error that "pdf_new is undefined"
    so i checked and found that pdflib is not installed . i am using php 5+ and i dont know how to install pdflib now , can anyone help me ?

    If you have shared hosting, you'd need to contact your host.

    Otherwise, do you have cPanel? You can install most PHP add-ons from within WHM.

    If not, the pdflib site probably has installation instructions.

    hey its my local pc actually , i have a windows machine where i use wamp and it has php_pdf.dll but in my linux pc where i dont have the required php_pdf.so file , in the site pdflib.com they are demanding huge price !!! i am really surprised i thought this things are free , any idea please ?

    Don't use pdf libs, try fpdf or the pdf function within the zend framework

    actually the pdf i want to create is a bit complex that i tried with fpdf but was not getting me anywhere closure . So i was thinking about pdflib.in windows it worked successfully as well. i dont know much about the pdf functions in the zend framework can anyone give me a link please?

    I think if fpdf can't do the job there is maybe something wrong in your script ;)

    check the zend website for the framework

    fpdf fails if u have tables withing tables , ignores custom font and sometimes color when the color is divs bkground any way thanks for zend fw .

    Tables with in tables :confused:
    sorry I don't think we talk about the same thing...

    EDIT don't use fpdf to convert html to pdf (the same for the pdf lib inside the zend FW)
