Hi everyone, I was designing my site today and I used some free stock images and they had a really high resolution and I pasted them into the PSD which was A4 sized and I did my6 whole design and exported it to html using the export to web feature in photoshop and now the image is web too large, possibly because they pixels are too high, how can I get it to display properly in my browser.
Yeah, this is the problem with web design. Image quality vs loading times. How large were the image files?
With an A4 image your always going to get a pretty big file size. But there are ways of optimising it.
Oh I think I have probably explained myself badly Now that I have a html file, the images are massive, ie. an image that should be 2cm on the screen seems zoomed in 50 times. Help?
In photoshop at the top click "image" > then click "image size" Next to the width box, change the drop down to pixels. Enter 1024 for the amount and press OK. Your PSD will then be fit for 1024 x 768 browsers. Export it to html then try again.
