    Hello there,

My friend were asking if what would be the best TLD for him if he plans to buy a website, would it a .com, .net.,info or .org site? He intends to use it for SEO purposes.

Please advise me before he decides for his own... Thanks

From a SEO point of view, the extention doesn't matter. From a value point of view, the .com is always worth more & other extentions will lose type-in traffic to it

Yep, however I think .com & .net should be 1st preference.

TLD's don't matter but if you take a .com you will get typo traffic too. that's an advantage.

First preference would definately be .com although .org and .net would still be benificial. Why not have all three?

I would definitely go with the .com if you have a choice of all the extensions

He cannot have all of the three since his budget is quite limited...

    I agree with htmlindex.

The ideal scenario is to get your website's idea's keywords registered in the .com TLD.

    :)

    Good luck!

For SEO TLD is not important. find some expired domain name and buy. expired domain names can be good option too for SEO :)

It's better to choose .com extension.

Top stage websites like .com are the additions associated with websites. For best position outcomes, prevent unusual top-level websites. Like hyphens, TLDs such as .info, .cc, .ws, and .name are trash signs.

I always try to pick a .com domain names. If not available rely on .net and .org :) My experience is that these TLD's are the most preferable by the mass of people who crawl the web everyday.
