I would suggest a greater resolution and a background image. I don't think it will take much bandwitch.
Site works fine in FireFox. There isn't much to see on this site few adds and a upload bar. Like the name thou.. GL.
That is the whole point. A lot of times you go to an upload site and you can't find the upload field, rather you see all of their design and blah blah explanation. Mine is straight and to the point
We call all agree that there's not much to review on the page at the same time I think it looks crammed you should create some negative space between the adsense ads and the upload button, they are too close.

Well I am not gonna lie here..this site needs some work. -Needs a logo -Needs more front end content (I know you want to keep it minimal, but add some info on your site..or a background image at least) -Needs more color..it can be text colors or images somewhere, but you need color..this keeps visitors/users feeling like they are using a well built/designed site. What you have going for you is the user friendliness..so work on the look and feel and you should be all set
