then i will tell me him that what it's all about
if he dont understand i will just say him

I get it from my family. They won't come out and say it's not a real job, but they'll imply it.

They think you're in this little "nerd world" where you can apparently make money from sitting at your computer all day. I had it. Just make sure they know how much you're making and SPEND SOME ON THEM.

If you've got parents or a wife, treat them to a nice dinner; massage or something and say "I've already paid for this with my earnings today".

You could tell them to piss off. People that don't support you should seriously piss off.

Counting a lot of money in front of them is a more subtle way of telling them to piss off.

lol i love this thread. I get hassled by my parents and siblings alot because I am 23, live in the basement, and have never had a real job besides roofing for my dads company. I went to college for ecommerce that I dropped out of because I hated it after the 2nd semester. Then went to IADT for computer animation and loved that, and actually did really well, but saw how much work was required and how hard it was to break into the industry and side lined it when I heard a friend of a friend was making $500 a day in affiliate marketing. That was all the motivation I needed...

I started back in may doing adult affiliate marketing which did not work well at all. I need converted over to clickbank and have started seeing a pretty steady increase in income. I no longer hear you need to get a real job from my parents, but my gf said it to me the other day and I quickly put her in her place.

My dad and brother ask me if I made any sales like 3 or 4 times a day now.

Just stay motivated. When someone says get a real job, use that as motivation to prove them wrong.

when someone tells me IM is not a real job then i say:

You're totally right. its not a job. I should not pay taxes and i should be elligible for unemployement insurance.


Quite funny is that we're 3 boys in my family and all 3 of us do affiliate marketing haha.......Our parents are depressed.

I tell them they are right...

In most real jobs (that my friends work) they have to get up at 6-7, be at work by 8-9, stay there for 8 hour and make less than $100 that day.

I get up at 10-11, work 1-2 hours, and easily make 3x more than they do...

Of course it is not a real job...

 

I haven't had this statement made to me yet, when I do I would probably laugh
