I want to invite you to my brand new music download Blog. All opinions are welcomed. Website: http://musicdose.com
Since all opinions are welcome..... Interesting that you should include a warning page about downloading illegal files. You are not off the hook because you don't host the files, you are still providing a gateway and promoting illegal activity. Sorry to bust your bubble, but I don't understand sites like this. Everyone who downloads illegal music knows all the search engines that provide millions of files. Do sites like this make money on installs ? As far as the design...nothing special. Offering up one file at a time as a blog post is just a big yawn to me. I know I am being harsh, but since I have sites that promote music and the music industry and work closely with producers, record labels and artist management, I would rather see more sites that make money legally, than to use content created by others, knowingly breaking copy write laws to make a few bucks. If someone completely copied your site, design and all, you would be pissed and your next post would be, "Someone copied my site and stole my content", yet you do it to others and provide access for others to do the same. There is nothing creative, professional or entrepreneurial about plopping up a basic design and linking to illegal downloads of music. Why even waste the hosting fees, bandwidth and space ? Is there some kind of status that comes with stealing, or providing a gateway for others to do it ? Would you get the same satisfaction if you were known as a shoplifter? You said all opinions, and my opinion is that sites like this suck..they ARE affecting the music industry, they are illegal, and if I had one, I would be embarrassed to show it in public.
Besides all previously mention legalities... The design looks pretty good, except that big extra gray space on the top. I'd raise the yellow box up a tad and continue the brick work down the sides some more.
i do download "illegal" music ( which in my country the law says I can download, but I have to delete it after 24 hours ) And, in fact, I have more original solid pieces than anyone I know. I have around 400 pieces, including Vynils, EPs and etc.. So it's like I say.. I DO support the artist ( though most of them get 0.10$ per album I buy ), And I think that what I do ( provide links to others ) is just some other way to promote the artist... there's so many bands I'd NEVER know if wasn't for warez.. If it wasn't for warez, I'd be listening to britney until today.
The site isn't bad, and I like the graphic. However, you need to put more content on there because it looks plain and amateurish. Also, I would say make the headlines and tabs a different color and not plain white to make it more appealing.
