I strongly recomendend you to stay away from Caro.net, their servers and speed is amazing! But their support team is pure assholes as soon as your issues and problems starts to get a bit deeper then "restart my server please"...
Thanks will check them out. That package looks great. Have you tried this personally? I see your a host, and I also am wanthing the server to start hosting. I know that Host Gator is one of the best hosters. However is it possible to get the same quality servers from elsewhere?
Hostgator actually use theplanet.com for their servers! So could be a good idea to go directly with the root provider instead of using a middle man like Hostgator ? http://theplanet.com

IwhiC actually uses Caro.net Servers. I don't know exactly if this is the server plan they use or not.
Yes I have about 9 servers from caro ( we started with this server and now only have the 8 cores) and there support goes well above and beyond what is expected.. They have fixed things and done this with out hesitation that were fault of me... I would not have been with them for over a year and have that many servers with them if the support sucked.. They offer free remote reboots (which is nice) and support tickets are answered promptly (no matter what it is) Talk with Mark Memmer or Jason Brozena form sales tell them we sent you a (iwhic) and they will hook you up. They will even try and get you a deal on the extra ram and bw if you need more. I think cpanel runs 30.00 a month on top of that price
We have a few servers at JustEdge.net and Sentris.com Both are great providers and can find some good deals around, on WHT too. On JustEdge.net you can any of their servers with I think its 25% off, use the code "SUMMER2008". They have great servers, run on a fast network and good support team. They are also providing free cPanel or DirectAdmin at current, so thats their Dedicated Server DSQ6600 for $165.99 with a good control panel .
Yes if you get cpanel it will come with whm.. I had servers with both justedge and Sentris and i would not recomend them at all .. support is not good, network (bandwidth ) is not either
I'm getting great download speeds and responses from the network at JustEdge IwhiC. Been with them for a few months on a few servers and they are for great support too. Sentris has really shapped up too recently.
Well it is a personal choice , when I am use to having tickets answered and fixed with in minutes (caro) and then when we had servers at the other to no replies for 8 hours at just edge that was not cutting it..(for a simple reboot at that)(the support was ok for the first month or so) then being told that it is not part of their management to do what needed to be done.. We ended up having to pay for an external management for the server there. but then it was still hours for a reboot to be done. Caro has spoiled us and we will never leave them.... It is all a personal choice, what your needs are. Are choice is Caro, and always will be If i could afford their unmetered bw servers i would move my proxy servers to them as well. (maybe in time) I would just talk to the sales reps at all places and go from there.
