My question is for all people who do graphic designing work.

    1. Do you use LCD monitor or CRT monitor to do your graphic design work?

    2. If you use LCD, is it normal LCD or you use some special LCD model that is best for graphic design work?

I want to buy a new monitor on which I will do graphic designing work, I want to buy a LCD this time, can you please recommend me a best model of LCD on which I can do graphics related work easily?

    Thanks

apples screens are fabulous, if you are trying to save some money I would go with a samsung, but I think apples screens are the best, especially for color.

If you want a really professional monitor for graphic design with perfect colors, Eizo are the highest quality ones, leaving other brands behind. But they're quite costly ;)

I'm not a professional, but I use an Apple Cinema display 23" and it's great. My brother uses 2 x 30" cinema displays for graphic design work and 3D animation.

I use the Samsung 216-BW 21.6" Widescreen. It has a beautiful display. But all in all, you just have to calibrate your monitor and your printer to ensure your end result is as close to your monitor's display as possible.

I use a ViewSonic VA1912w, it was cheap, about 80 Quid (150$) but it works get. That being said it's hard to get a good idea of how your websites colors will be on just on monitor, so I use two. (One a cheap I.T. Works monitor, it's horrid display but it's ok for storing windows in that I'm not using.

Just bought a 19" Widescreen Acer AL1916W. Preferrably for GFX Design, I recommend people to buy Wide Screens.

Reason being, that it has more space to accomodate Sidebars and Toolbars, that otherwise look crammed up in normal LCDS. And go for Brandnames.

Yes they do. They also vary a little bit from one LCD to another.

All New Models you'll find are DVI.

    Digital Visual Interface (DVI)

    Thanks for the clarification Xavier,

One more question. My favorite brand is ViewSonic.. I am using their 17" Flat Screen Monitor and am very happy with that, now I am thinking of buying LCD Screen from same company.

I found this LCD screen on their website (See Here)

Can you please read the specs on that page and tell me if it is perfect for me or not?

I think it is good because they are saying that it is fully designed for graphic design/gaming works.
