I have a few questions about Word Press Blog Questions.

    1. In regards to categories and tags is there much difference in regards the search engines? Can you have too many set up? Or should you just center the tags and categories around your keywords.
    2. I had a blog that was indexed by Google and all of a sudden it disappeared. What could be the main problem?

    Thank You

Try to say within your niche. You can use as many as it takes , but don't get greedy and try to cover everything under the sun, it won't do you much good and it will not be good for building a niche core audience.

The main thing that will set you apart in your serps is your content. Good content will get linked to, indexed for key long tail phrases, and it is the only thing that your readers care about.

I don't know why you were de-indexed. It could be a slew of things, one of which may have been keyword stuffing. If Google sees you as a spam site it will basically ignore you.

Is it a blog hosted by wordpress (wordpress.com) or do you host the blog yourself, on your own domain? (wordpress.org)

There are many same niches websites created daily. It is not surprise that your website suddenly disappeared on Google indexing. Some webmasters' websites are paid to be well positioned at Google indexing. normally at the 1st two pages. Your sites might be disappeared for a while and it will be back soon. However, keep promoting your blog/website and use good keywords and key phrases so that it is well positioned at google indexing in the very competitive environment. If you do not put in much effort, you will be left behind.

Tags are no longer very important. Categories, it's best to keep them low in number for easy navigation through your site. Internal Linking helps SEO the most.
