.htaccess file blocking Goolge ....

Hi,
I have a a PHPwebsite.
I tried to verify it on Google by putting a html file but it can only be done by Deleting the .htaccess file.
But then my website does not function properly.
I added a Sitemap ..same problem again.
Do i have to add something in .htaccess file to allow google to crawl.
Please help.

Yeah i also agree with you....I first think that only robot.txt Block bots But here.......

 

When the htaccess file is in the server it prevents Google from Crawling and Verifying..This Way my site gets unverified and get a 404 Error Message.
My Site is fine no Problem but just the htaccess.
Help please

 

Can you post your htaccess file? That is the only way anyone is going to be able to help you.

 

As Faint mention, please post your htaccess file. You might as well post your robots.txt and your site url, so we can make sure everything else is correct.
