Hey everyone, Could I get a few reviews about my new blog mooseweb.net? http://www.mooseweb.net/ Thanks...
Yeah, a moose would be good. Site has a nice clean layout, just wish it didn't suffer from tiny text syndrome.
very clean, i like it. i think you should change rss icon for rss2email subscription to something else, like an arrow, or rss/letter combo
The words in the forum titles are about the same size as the words in the logo. Increase the size of the logo so the website would seem more balanced and aesthetically appealing. "Mooseweb" is something you want people to remember [shouldn't be too hard]. I like the inviting feel of the layout - its easy to read, though there are so many categories and so few posts. How old is the website? There are only three pages of content and yet there are 4 ads and a donate option. I personally wouldn't consider optimizing monetization[sp?] until you reach at least 30 pages of content. That way, the ads don't outweigh [or at least appear to outweigh] the content. Also, if the main menu was under the logo, I think that would seem a bit more natural. Hope that helps .
Comments noticed, although I don't think I will be putting them into place very much. I have had the domain for several years, although only very recently have I issued the blog portion. I'm working on the Mooseweb Network portal currently, that will be released eventually. I've also recently been setting up my podcast stage, that should be a nice fun touch. About the title needs to be bigger, the moose is animated and jumps at you when you go to the page. Immediately you think "Mooseweb", hint the website address.
I dig the clean layout and colors. I'm in a minority here, but I'm not really digging the moose so much... maybe it's the animation..? meh What do I know Over all it looks good, is simple to navigate and notheing really overpowers the content which is all good. My $0.02
-Love the layout -Moose needs to be static, not animated. Something similar to the Abercrombie and Fitch logo -The word "mooseweb" needs to be bigger -Maybe change the baby blue top header with a darker shade of blue
I agree with the others who have said the moose needs to be static - it's a little distracting like this. I also think you should add an image to your content from time to time (like screenshots or "money" graphics) to spice up things a little. Other than that, great design!
I plan on doing tons upon tons of images in my next series I am starting, but the moose I will work on. I'll get a nice static image of him and put it there, I thought it would simply serve as a nice temporary fix (which it did). Thanks for the reviews everyone, +rep.
love the moose and a great fan of the theme great work. good content too with the mini part series.... good luck with it @ asialove yes the theme is available for download
Cute looking moose but a bigger size would be better, otherwise, your blog is pretty balanced and neat.
Your site is simple but it's nice and clean and easy to navigate however, the text in your header where you welcome your visitors to the site is too small I think you should make it bigger. I think you should get rid of the moose because it does not look good with the theme of your site.
the template is awesome..work much more on the logo..its needs a big smiling moose the content looks good..liked the sleepy widget... rock on
