What Do You Think of My New Theme ?

After 5 days down, and a few problems with the Word Press Upgrade, I finally got my new design up and running on 2.6 (Just in time to upgrade to 2.6.1...Geez!).

Made just a few customizations to fit my needs.
Interested in some opinions on Layout, Content, Usability, and the design itself.

I like it. Loads of good content and a nice full page that is still easy to read.

On the left hand side of the page, the 'Hot Links' drop down box sticks out of the block it's in. If the image of the arrow wasn't there, it'd be fine I reckon.

 

DOH! Thanks, I will take care of that right away. It usually means one of my links is too long, just need to shorten the anchor text.

 

Aside from the issue bodger mentioned the site looks very professional.

 

it is too dark, maybe i am too old.. to appreciate the color theme
the font size and coloe of of THe title of each post-is not looks great in a 30s old man eyes

 

Just had a look at it again and although the hot links box fits now, it's not in its own sidebar like it was earlier. I preferred that, to be honest.

 

I really like the looks of it. The composition is nice, colors... Looks good

 

So did I , but I can't do both without tooling around the .php file of that plug in.
If I include the header, it comes with the bullet. I can't really shorten any of the anchor texts much more because many of them are link exchanges.

I will get around to it a little latter...I hate editing plug-ins, it always cause me grief

 

Classic touch and I think not everybody can do the same. This is a work of a professional designer. I would give 4.5 out of 5 rating.

Really ? How so...? Do you mean that it should be white only ?

 

Im not so sure about the logo. It looks kind of dated.

Agreed. Waiting for my guy to get to it and make a new one. I did replace it with another one that I threw together today.

 

Final modifications are done. I think I will leave it this way.
Did make it to the designers client gallery....any final thoughts, suggestions or tips ?

Very nice. Looks completely smoothed out and all the kinks are taken care of in that final version. professionalism is drooling everywhere on that theme. :-P

 

The theme is good... but I didn't liked the Header image.. it looks a big ugly.

nice site, tonnes of content, nice layout etc. really I am unqualified to critisize anything you have done but would like t say congratulations

 

Thanks fartmast (LOL), but everyone who reads anything online is qualified, that's the point... to get as many differing opinions as possible, to know if it appeals to the majority, or to see what things are not appealing to some to see if I need to make any corrections. I do appreciate your opinion
