It's too vague of a question to give a good answer. It depends on the keyword - $1 a click is far too low for some keywords, high for others. When you do a search on google, does you ad show up? - if so, on the first page? If it is showing, you need to work on your ad wording.

First of all google ads will show after 30 minutes of campaign management(search network).

Are you getting any impressions?Be aware that google doesn't show live statistics for your impressions and clicks,in other words they don't show statistics for the last 3 hours.

What happens when you search for the exact same keyword phrase as your campaign title? Do you see results? In all the ads displayed do you see yours?

The adwords keyword tool gives you an estimate of what kind of search volume and which "slot" you will get based on your bid.

    You'll see something like:

    US Dollars (USD $) [ 0.85 ]

Keywords Estimated Ad Position Competition Approx Search Volume

free stuff odd 1-3 XXXXX 100
    credit cards - XXXXX 86,000
    cell phones 7-10 XXXXXXX 100,000

So, in this example, at a bid of 85 cents, your ad would show well for "free stuff odd", in one of the first three slots on the first page of search results. It wouldn't show at all for "credit cards", and would be in positions 7-10, on the second page for "cell phones".

Also, pay attention to the search volume. "free stuff odd", in the example above only gets searched for 100 times a month. So, you won't get many ad impressions or clicks.

You can change the bid amount in the tool to see how it affects your ad placement.

    Are your keywords/ads newly added?

My ads don't show. They are waiting for review, and it may take days...

Did you check your ads with Ads Diagnostic Tool?

Did you use VCC to verify Adwords Account? Visa VCC no longer works with Adwords.
