Yes, you should use meta tags for each individual page of your website.....Meta tags, while potentially useful to describe your page contents to a web browser., have no appreciable effect on actual search engine rankings
There seems to be this semi-absurd on going debate as to whether or not meta tags should be included in your HTML documents. Lets put the debate to rest once and for all. The answer is YES-the meta description tag should absolutely be included in every web page document that you want describe on the search engine results page
HERE IS WHY-------The meta description tag is used be many search engine as the summery description for your page whenever listed in the search engine results. It is often the sub-headline and sales description for your link....It help the searcher decide whether or not your page is relevant to their searcher....Its what compels a real person to click your link...
Now up to you either you put meta tags or not....
    Good Luck:)

It is a good practice to use meta tags on each of your pages, especially the title tag and description tag. Google uses the title tag to determine what category to list your website in and that is good enough reason alone considering that google will probably send you 60-80% of your SE traffic.

Meta description is important to the search engines. Also, the meta description is often shown under the page title as the snippet of text shown by the search engines. Make the description a call to action that makes someone who sees it want to click on your site.

Meta keywords isn't that useful anymore. Maybe, and I say maybe, the search engines use it to refine the meaning of your page...but not as a very strong part of the algo.

Are they valuable for seo? No. Would I still use them. Yes, because of reasons mentioned above. It is still a good practice to use them.

Use Meta Tags in every single webpage on ur site including the homepage. I think they're pretty important but it depends on what you want accomplished I suppose. SEO, Page Ranking, Organic Traffic, etc.

Use different metatags targeting traffic generating terms. Be sure to also have all those terms on your body content..
