MovableType Pro or WordPress

I was reading ProBlogger and found a post about the release of MovableType 4.2 and MovableType Pro with new social features and things that sound unique but also kinda sound like things that have been in WordPress for awhile.

So do you think it would be worth it to try MovableType Pro? (Which I have yet to install properly)

And do you think these new features will be able to compete with WordPress?

I'd stick with Wordpress especially if the features you're interested in are already in Wordpress. I think there's probably more plugin development going on with Wordpress also. Haven't ever used mt, but never saw any reason to try anything other than Wordpress

Wordpress is the only blogging platform I have ever used. In my opinion, it can't be beat...

One more for WordPress. My husband uses Moveable Type, and has for a few years, so I asked him to describe it in three words: "Not. That. Easy."

I just started up a wordpress site. I like it but it's been a real chore trying to find the perfect theme.

Wordpress, millions of themes, thousands of plugins and millions of blogs run on it. It is years ahead of any competition.

Wordpress is the easiest platform on the net to find themes for - there are hundreds of awesome ones and thousands of good ones

If not it doesn't take much to design one yourself either

Wordpress is much easier to use and the plugins are great. Movabletype might be ok for larger corporation who want to spend a little extra for some upgrades. But for most bloggers Wordpress is probably the choice.
