I have a simple forum w/o content. I created this just to test my design and skin... I have some tests posts with around 5 tests members..

Now I don't want the subdomain where it is hosted. I created another subdomain.. can I transfer all the files on the different subdomains with having any problem???

I want to do this because I don't to reinstall and reconfigure again the pages / if I am going to install a new Vb..

    tell me please.. Thanks

you'll have to do a little reconfiguring, all your paths will change, thats the only thing i believe. its not as terrible as you might think. ;)

Yes, it is possible. Just copy existing VB files/folders to the new sub-domain folder and then change the URL for your forum from admin control panel (Use old URL to login to your admin control panel).

your database settings should remain the same, its not like your changing servers, your just changing the folder.

why would you want to re install it. doesn't vb have a settings or config file?
loads easier then re doing the forum.

You can change the main URL of your forum from Admin CP. Login to your Admin CP using old URL and change it.

Just needed to change the URL in your admincp before the move or go in and edit by hand after.

Glad you got it working again.
