The background of the articles is white, so I think it won't hurt the eyes of my precious visitors I've used this theme on other game sites as well and the visitors seemed to like it.

 

The light blue text don't show up real well on my monitor. Other than that looks good.

Could anyone give me some feedback on the ad placement? So far I haven't made much money with it while it's getting a nice amount of visitors. Maybe I'll try some Amazon ads...

 

I think it looks good until you scroll down past the recent comments area on the right. Then it just turns into one long scroll down. When you force the viewers to scroll down so far, it takes the ads right out of the site. Try integrating some ads farther down on the page and even at the bottom.

Thanks for all the feedback and the tips. I added a 125x125 square in the left sidebar and a 468x60 ad under every article.

Regarding placement of the ads, maybe you should try a small banner above the title of the first news article. Use the white background and blue text, see if that works out any better?

You could also try adding a link unit at the bottom of your navigation pane.

 

I actually thought about a white background text unit after the content of every single post article.
