Email Marketing

I have purchased an email list (the company told me it was an opt-in list) The list has about 20k emails. I used emailing software on my computer and it sent out about 2k emails over a night and I got some great response to my site.

Im wondering if there is a service to email all 20k emails in one night? Idont really want to tie up my computer for 10 nights.

Big mistake..never buy an optin list, build your own list, to avoid spam complains and besides they won't even know who you are.

 

Congratulations, you are on a distinguished road to get deindexed from Google and get your AdSense account closed (I really wonder, if big G runs honeypot emailaddresses to catch spammers).

a) Sure, they told you, those email addresses were all opt-in. Just like the guy in the trenchcoat tells you, that all the watches he is hiding under it are genuine rolex.
b) Even if those emailaddresses were opt-in, they are not opt-in to you! Just because someone does opt-in to service A, does not mean, sh/e also wants to hear from B,C,...,Z!

 

the lists were opt-in for the types of services I am offering. As I mentioned in the original post I received great feedback for the service I was offering, (and have since had great response) and not a single opt out from the now 6000 emails I have sent.

Back to the original question, does anyone know of a good service to send out a large number of emails quickly?

Thanks goldenboy, but I'm looking more for a service that could do the mailings for me or a web based software that is automated, rather than software I install and run from my computer.

But you should realize that any bulk e-mail sent out in this kind of volume will likely be flagged. Some services will send out a e-mail every 60 seconds so it does not look like a bulk delivery.

Why are you so impatient? Impatience can get you in trouble.

The first guys to come down on you are likely your ISP.

 

You should install a owned version of auto responder on a server then just perform the email broadcasting from the software.

Have to be careful because people always say lists are "opt-in" because they can charge you more for them. Like said above do your own lists and it will pay off better.

 

Ill check out Constant Contact, I didn't think I was being particularly impatient. It just seemed ineffective to be slowly emailing when there seems to be a lot of interest in my site. I guess the ISP thing was the thing I was concerned with, if they saw me sending out alot of emails would they assume it was spam, thats another reason I was looking for a third party solution.

so how do I go about creating my own list? I dont understand, if people come to my site to get on the list, they generally purchase, how do I get them to sign up on a list in the first place?

Thanks for the advice goldenboy. I really didnt and dont think what am doing would be black hat, I realize some people might define what I'm doing as spamming, but it is for a very specific group who generally seem happy to be receiving what I'm doing. My address is in the email and I am of course respecting any opt outs, but as I mentioned there are not ot many, 1 opt out since I last mentioned there were none.

Ill keep looking into different options, I appreciate any more advice anyone has.

The best way to get people to give you their email addresses is by offering them something of value. Offer a free newsletter, ebook, etc. that you think your audience would be interested in. This way both sides win, they get something of value upfront and you get their email addresses to send them offers.

 

I have 1 million uk bussiness on a spredasheet- all of them come with an email and a postcode(address), company name and type of bussiness they are. And nearly all of them have names and phone numbers.

So where could i sell them? Or can i rent them?
