Ezine articles is it worth submitting my best articles?

I have run a blog now for the past 8 months or so, i have over 100 articles and it is growing slowly but steadily.

As an attempt to increase traffic i was considering using article marketing on some articles that i have had on my site for months.

I am wondering if it would effect my site in any bad way if i was to use the same articles for submitting to ezine articles?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of doing this?

Article marketing is killer way to get traffic.

I suggest maybe shortening up and rewriting some of the posts to make a fresh article, preferably around 300 words. The point is to get the reader as quickly as possible to your site.

Just take a few minutes, rewrite a few, you might even have a inspiration while writing your new articles.

    advantages
    - Backlinks (SEO)
    - More traffic
    - New visitors

    Disadvantages
    - can't think of any

For best results it it a good idea to make changes to the articles before you submit them to Ezinearticles or any other article directory. Other wise they will be seen as duplicate content and you will not get the full benefit.

the articles you submit to ezine have to be 100% original otherwise they remove the article.

Doing some research on ezine articles SEO articles as well as many niche markets covering this area don't seem to get much traffic through ezine is it still worth it just for the backlinks?

I've got an article directory at articlebuzz.net that you can submit your articles to also. I've never had any problems with duplicate content as it relates to article directories. I've submitted a lot of my articles to article directories and many of them get indexed ... all exactly the same article.

i dont submit an article to more than one directory. This is because i dont want to waste time on submitting as i know its difficult for one same article to get listed in multiple directories.

If it is possible, is there any benefit of such links made by submitting one article to many directories??

I like ezine and find them very user friendly. Like others have said, don't submit duplicate content.....at the very least, change it around before you submit it but I would suggest writing a whole new article.

I'm surprised about that as I keep hearing that you should not submit the same article to multiple sites to avoid being penalized by google with DP (duplicate content):D

i use a article submitting service that submits to over a hundred article directories, do you think ezine will reject the article because it is being used in other directories?

I use Article Marketer. I have a lifetime membership. I submit the article to them and they distribute it to all of their article directory members. My articles usually come from my blog and I have never had a problem getting my articles and my blog articles indexed.

Consider the fact that the Associated Press and Reuters publish their news articles all over the Net by the thousands and have a Pagerank 8 - not to mention that all their articles get indexed. It's the same thing with article directories.

Here's a pdf from Article Marketer on duplicate content

it works for them because they are pr8 and a trusted authoritative site in google's eyes, the ones that are copying the ap and reuters content are likely to be penalized if they do it too much

I suggest doing a slight rewrite of them. If you have long articles, break them up into smaller ones. And always remember, focus on long tail keywords. That's where the traffic is at.
