Well, if you look at the industry standard rates, .05-.10/word is a great price. Also, I am new to Digital Point as to providing my service... so I can udnerstand your concern with that aspect. ...I would be willing to lower my prices, but I think that is a slap in the face to every writer. I know people do work for less than $5 for 400 words, and honestly if you can live comfortably by making that kind of work, then that is awesome... but I won't sell my hard work and time for lousy pay. If you want quality work for a decent price, then please ask
I do agree that $0.05 is an incredible rate, but not on these forums. I doubt anyone here has a proper degree in journalism. You're not a journalist and I doubt you have any experience writing for newspapers, magazines, etc. Most article writers here are for the main purpose of out-sourcing or SEO article purposes, which means that it doesn't even matter if the articles have poor grammar; it's just for Search Engines to read. Also, I don't think it's very convincing either that you put "..." in your writing as though you're chatting on MSN with your high school friends. Good luck
Thanks for your input and advice, I'll take that into consideration. I am not a journalism major, but I am a philsophy major with English course backgrounds. I also understand where you are comign from with the '...' I tend to get comfortable with this forum, so my informal side comes out at times. I do have SEO/ content keyword writing experience, but I am searching for creative writing OR anything else besides the typical crap that people ask for on DP. I find it sad that people don't wish to have their website's content *gasp* PERSONAL? It's amazing how lame it is to read the average site, and even blogs anymore are dull, boring adversitements. I remember when blogs were personal, with character and even a bit of warmth. OH well, I guess time has changed the internet world.
