I have some CafePress t-shirt designs and needed one site where I can show all of them in one place. So I made this website: Silhouette Sports Apparel. Please let me know me what you think of design: look, seo, trust. Thanks! Don't pay attention to the domain name, I had it registered, but don't have a project for it yet, and just didn't want it to be parked with someone registrar showing working for them.. I'll get more suitable domain eventually.
When you click on a shirt to see it, you may want it to open in a new window. When the person clicks off of the larger view you want the main page to still be there.
Studies have shown this is a bad idea. Keep the visitor in the same window, or tab, and let them use the back button. New windows, though common, are still considered a hostile takeover of your pc, also, old windows left behind are just that. They get forgotten, and are often closed quickly at the end of web session. The back button is still a primary method of navigation. In regards to the site, good idea. I would work on a tag line, and also try to give your site a little more ownership, as in, make it look like more than just a "Front".
I think it looks really good. (Maybe I'm biased though, because I love extreme sports. LOL) Seriously though, it's very clean and clear. All of the text is easy to read, and it's easy to navigate. It is also very detailed, all of the information you want to access can easily be found on that one page. Basically, all of the things I like in a good website.
